Award Nomination for David Hair’s latest novel

It was announced on 7th June that "1916: Dig For Victory" will be a finalist in the Young Adult section of the 2017 New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults. The winners will be announced 14th August 2017.

1916: Dig for Victory is set around the historical deeds of the New Zealand Pioneer Battalion in 1916, at Armentieres and the Somme. It is part of a five book series, Kiwis at War, with five different New Zealand writers about New Zealand’s participation in the Gresat War 1914 - 1918.

Sebastien de Castell as Guest of Honour at Danish Fantasy Festival

I’m writing you from the Fantasy Festival in Esbjerg, Denmark. We would very much like to invite Mr. Sebastien de Castell to be one of our Guests of Honour in 2018. This will be our fourth year, and our previous Guests of Honour counts American author Tamora Pierce, and Australian authors Trudi Canavan and John Flanagan. The Fantasy Festival takes place in Esbjerg Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th of September 2018, and is a celebration of the fantasy genre across it´s many media.
