Richard King

Richard King is a writer who has worked in the book industry for almost thirty years.

Beginning his career as a bookseller at Classic Bookshops in Montreal, he became the territorial manager supervising bookstores from Ottawa to St-John’s in Canada and in New York City, Cleveland and Palm Beach in the United States.

In 1981 he co-found Paragraphe Bookstore which pioneered many of the ideas that are now common to Canadian bookselling.  

King has served on the board of directors of the Canadian Booksellers Association and the National Council of The Writers’ Union of Canada.
