Denise has devoted her working life to archaeology in various forms, starting as an excavator, completing a degree at Cardiff University, then a PhD on Roman Glass. She juggled museum work, teaching and working as a glass specialist before moving sideways into archaeological tourism.
She was Deputy Director at Andante Travels, Britain’s leading archaeological travel company, for 15 years, and had a wonderful time devising tours around the world, producing brochures, leading tours and generally making archaeology accessible to a wide public.
Publications to date include many reports on Roman glass, including the popular Shire Archaeology book on Roman Glass in Britain – and then many brochures of archaeological tours.
She is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries.
